This
is a big, bad bait. It's a 1 5/8 ounce, 5 1/4" lure, and the jointed
action is deadly. The best way to work these X Raps is to use the PULL-PULL-PAUSE
technique. The fish will hit the X Rap on the pause 90% of the time.
This lure and the Rapala X Rap in Gold and Hot Steel have been the #1
lures this spring. No joke. These X Raps will catch alot of stripers when
the water warms up to where they want the bigger bait and a small lure,
fluke or bucktail will do. These baits will also filter out the smaller
stripers when stripers are schooling or busting on the surface. Throw
this X Rap into a school of busting fish and you most likely pull the
bigger stripers. |
